This dip recipe is near and dear to our hearts. One, because we had it together when we ate out during our honeymoon, and we have continued the tradition every year on our anniversary. Two, because it’s delicious! Lol I hope you enjoy this spicy spinach and artichoke dip recipe! Below are all the ingredients needed for this recipe.

Let’s get started!

We start with some butter; about 1-2tbsp.

Add it to a sauce pan and turn your stove to medium.

Bring on the spicy!

While your butter is melting, chop up 1/4 of an onion and half to one whole jalapeño.

This was actually what I had left from another recipe the night prior, but it was the perfect amount.

Add your chopped onion and jalapeño to your sauce pan with your melted butter and sauté until onions are translucent.

The first star of our show : The artichokes!

While that’s cooking up, let’s work on our artichokes.

Add the whole drained can to a blender/food processer.

Hit the pulse button just to chop it roughly. You don’t want it smooth. Well, maybe you do, but we prefer it chunky.

After your artichoke hearts are chopped, you can add those to your saucepan.

Mix that in and let it sauté for a few minutes.

And our co-star : the spinach!

Once that has cooked for a few minutes, add your spinach. I used an entire 5 oz. container.

And this is why. Lol It cooks down to just about 1/4 of what it was fresh.

Ooh, the cheese!!

Next, let’s add our cheeses! Parmesan cheese and cream cheese. Turn your stove down to medium/low. Mix all that yumminess together!

I didn’t get a picture, but I added the seasonings, too! Look how creamy! Yum! Dish it into a serving bowl and enjoy!

Thicker or Thinner, that is the question.

Now, this recipe is a bit on the thick side, so if you wanted it to be thinner, add a bit of milk or water to the saucepan, until desired thinning occurs.

We love it thick and chunky! It is sooo good! I hope that you will try it! Let us know what you think if you do!
