1. Gather Your Ingredients
There are a few things not pictured here, like the Worcestershire sauce, the pecans and the seasonings, but make sure to add those. I got a little hasty with my photography. Ha!
- 8 oz of cream cheese
- 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1 large jalapeno diced
- 1/2 cup of bacon pieces, separated
- 1/8 cup of chopped chives, separated
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1-2 tsp garlic salt
- 1-2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce (taste after adding 1 tbsp)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans for coating

I like to use a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for this recipe because it helps to incorporate all of the ingredients well, without wearing out your arm. Add the first nine ingredients to your mixing bowl, making sure to separate your bacon and chives. You’ll need the other half of those ingredients to make your cheeseball coating.

2. Mix Your Ingredients
Mix on low with a dough hook until everything is incorporated. You will have to scrape down your sides periodically and continue mixing. Finish mixing with a spatula and then you will turn it out onto plastic wrap or parchment paper.

3. Create Your Cheeseball
Using gloved hands, the spatula or the plastic wrap, shape your cheese mixture into a ball. Once you’ve done that, place it into the fridge to firm up a bit while you make your coating mixture.

4. Mix and Then Add Your Coating
Add the remaining half of the bacon pieces and chives along with your chopped pecans to a food processor and pulse until you have a crumbly mixture like shown. Then you can remove your chilled cheeseball from the fridge and press on the coating to all sides, even the bottom, of your cheeseball.

Spicy Jalapeno Bacon Cheeseball Recipe
Make this absolutely delicious cheeseball for your next get together and it will be the center of attention, hands down!
Ingredients
- 8 oz of cream cheese
- 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1 large jalapeno diced
- 1/2 cup of bacon pieces, separated
- 1/8 cup of chopped chives, separated
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1-2 tsp garlic powder
- 1-2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce (taste after adding 1 tbsp)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans for coating
Instructions
- Grate 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese and add that, the cream cheese, sour cream and jalapeno to a mixing bowl.
- Add 1/4 cup of the bacon pieces and half of the chives to the mixing bowl.
- Add your seasonings and tweak to your taste. You can also add salt and pepper if you prefer.
- Using a stand mixer, like a Kitchen aid, start mixing the ingredients for your cheeseball.
- After everything is mixed, transfer the cheeseball mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper, wrap it and place it into the fridge while you prepare the coating.
- Using the rest of the bacon pieces and chives, add that to the chopped pecans and place into a food processer and pulse until it is a crumbly mixture.
- Remove the cheeseball from the fridge and shape it into a ball form. Then press the coating mixture onto the sides of your cheeseball. It will be messy, so make sure you are working on a covered surface so you can save the extra pieces that fall off for another cheeseball if necessary.
- You can serve immediately or you can chill until your guests arrive.
- Serve with crackers alongside grapes or bread and butter pickles.
Notes
You can store the leftovers in the fridge for about a week, but I promise you, it won't last that long. 😉
