Who doesn’t love freshly updated decor?? I am one of those who loves to update their decor for every season, holiday, or occasion. Is this you, too? We have two fireplaces in our home. The fireplace mantel in our living room has a more consistent farmhouse theme going on, that doesn’t change too often. However, the dining room fireplace mantel gets a fresh new look quite frequently. This 4th of July piece was made with paint stir sticks and star glitter scatter from the Dollar Tree.

A simple decor idea was to add a set of the tassels to a painted wooden star to stick inside of my firecracker wreath, which I did not make, by the way. I actually found that at a thrift store last year. Score! All of these pieces can be used in other areas of your home; including your tiered trays, your dough bowls, your entryway tables, etc.
