This year, I decided to go with a neutral theme for the Christmas tree in our main living area. Y’all! It turned out so much prettier than I imagined! I have to give my sweet friend props for the idea though. Ms Angela from Word & Home posted a picture of her neutral tree from last year, and I loved it! I hope you enjoy how I decorated mine and that you find some ideas for your own that you can use!
Let’s See This Tree!
I thought I would show you the tree a little at a time and give you details about the ornaments, but if you just can’t wait, scroll on down and the whole tree is at the bottom. But come back up here afterwards and let me tell you about the details!
The ornaments above I made myself using styrofoam balls and fabric. Check out the video to see how they are made.
The bells above were actually part of a garland that I bought at Walmart. I didn’t like them as a garland so I decided to cut it apart and use the bells separately, placing them randomly all over the tree.
These two ornaments actually came from Dollar General. The wreath ornament was just plain plastic, so I added diamond dust to take it up a notch. You can get diamond dust at your craft store, or they have it on Amazon >>HERE<<.
The bell ornament below came as is for only $1.00! I bought the whole box! Luckily, there was only four in the box. Haha!
This adorable Christmas tree ornament was made on a Facebook live. You can see that video replay >>HERE<<! Look for the written instructions with pictures coming to the blog soon!
These bells came from the Dollar General, too! Aren’t they nice?!
Have you ever used wood slices to make ornaments? I used black paint and the cardstock snowflakes from Hobby Lobby to make these ornaments. Easy peasy! Get wood slices on Amazon >>HERE<<. That buffalo plaid swirl pick came from Walmart.
How sweet are these wooden angel wings?! Y’all! They came from Dollar General! No lie! They have really upped their Christmas decor game! The black berry pick came from Hobby Lobby.
No joke, the Noel wooden reindeer came from the Dollar General, too! It was $2.00, but completely worth it because it’s really big! The white berry pick came from Hobby Lobby. Also, the glitter ball ornaments are random ornaments that I spray painted then coated in glitter.
See the video below to see how I made this adorable chunky ornament. The cross and the reindeer (from the video) came from Dollar Tree!
The second I saw this buffalo plaid ribbon at Walmart, I knew I had to have it for this tree! The white Christmas sign came out of the Re-Fabulous box that Ms Brooke offers over at Re-Fabbed. When I opened this month’s box, I literally squealed (ask my husband lol) because it was the perfect match for this tree! Make sure to check out her monthly box when she opens it again.
This fun swirly pick came from Hobby Lobby! I think the icicles were found at a yard sale maybe.
Look at all these fun picks!!
Found all the picks at the top at Hobby Lobby. Aren’t they gorgeous?! There is also a fuzzy ribbon in there, too and that came from Walmart.
