How many times have you walked into a home decor store and you see the seasonal dish towels, but you don’t get them, because you already have too many?? There are so many adorable designs out there for this particular kitchen necessity, but one can only have so many of them. But I have a solution for this “problem”. Buy those beautiful towels and turn them into Kitchen Towel Pillows! Say what?! Yes, pillows! Have you priced a seasonal pillow recently? Ouch! No ouchies with this seasonal decor idea! Let me show you how they are made! You won’t believe how easy they are! Make sure to check out our other No-Sew Ideas while you’re here!

Supplies needed for this project :

  • Kitchens towels
  • Pillow stuffing or an inexpensive travel size pillow
  • Hot glue
  • Silicon heat tools (optional – if you like having fingerprints)

Instructions :

Start off by folding the kitchen towel in half, bringing the short sides together.

You’re going to start gluing the edges together using hot glue. You can use regular high temp hot glue, or fabric hot glue. I’m not sure that regular fabric glue would work for this project, but you can try it. Just make sure it is completely adhered before proceeding.

This is a no-sew project, but feel free to use your sewing machine for these towels. I know not everyone knows how to sew, so I like to offer alternatives like this one.

Continue gluing the edges until you have three sides glued together. Leave the 4th and final side open so you can add your stuffing or pillow insert. Once you have added your stuffing, finish gluing that open edge closed. You are now ready to use them in your seasonal decor!
