My daughter, Abby, recently shared this recipe with me and I thought it was so fun and something that I will be doing with the boys soon! Do your kids or grandkids love hot pockets or quick frozen pizza? My boys sure do! Here is a fun idea for a Friday night; how to make toasted pepperoni pizzas! Yum!

Ingredients :

  • Frozen Texas toast
  • Pizza or pasta sauce
  • Pizza blend shredded cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Herbs and seasonings of your choice

Instructions :

First thing you want to do is pre-heat your oven to the temperature required for the Texas toast; usually about 425°. Then you want to add your frozen toast to a baking sheet.

Next, add pizza or pasta sauce to each piece of toast.

My daughter used pasta sauce, so you can use either one for this recipe! I love that!

After adding the sauce, you add the cheese! You can use mozzarella, which you typically find on a pizza. My daughter used the pizza blend shredded cheese, which I thought was genius!

Just sprinkle on as much you want to each piece of toast.

After all the yummy cheese is added, top them with some pepperoni slices! We eat pepperoni by the handful here so my boys will definitely love helping prepare these! Lol

I forgot to mention to add your seasonings and/or herbs to the sauce before you add your cheese. I would probably add my usuals; onion and garlic powder, and Italian herbs.

Add the pan to the pre-heated oven and bake for 10 minutes!

Look how yummy delicious these look and it only took minutes to prepare and bake! I love the ease of this recipe!

Now, I would probably add some parmesan cheese and some hot pepper flakes to these while they were still hot and enjoy them with a fork. I’m sure my boys will just dig in with their hands and eat them like regular pizza slices. Lol

I hope you enjoyed our version of this fun recipe and that you’ll try something similar for your family! Let us know how you like it if you do! Make sure to join our email family to keep up with what we’re doing each week!
