Step one : Paint your pot!

Start off by painting your terra cotta pot with white chalk paint. Chalk paint will dry really quickly plus the terra cotta will soak up the paint so you won’t even need a heat source for this step.

This is the paint that I used. The brand is Dixie Belle and the color is called Cotton. I really like it so far.

When I painted the inside of the terra cotta pot, I only went about halfway down. This was because you won’t see the inside of the pot anyways.

Step two : Add a design

I chose to use a window cling from the Dollar Tree to place on the side of my terra cotta pot. The XO cling.

The cling will not stay without some type of adhesive, so I recommend using either white glue or mod podge. I sealed the entire pot with the mod podge and just placed my cling onto the pot before the mod podge was dry.

Step three : Fill your pot!

The next thing I did was add a piece of floral foam down into the pot, making it flush with the top.

After you add your floral foam, add some hot glue to the top of it. Don’t cover it completely, just enough so your moss will stay attached.

Then just place your Spanish moss on  top of your floral foam and press down to adhere.

Step four : Start building your heart farm!

Using tooth picks or sandwich picks, which are longer than toothpicks, pierce the bottom of your mini glitter hearts to make them into floral picks!

Just keep placing them all over the pot at varying heights like a bouquet.

After I added as many hearts as I wanted, I added one last one to this chalk board stake, also from the Dollar Tree. I used a chalk marker to letter the word Farm on it as well. Then placed that into my terra cotta pot as well!

The last thing that I added was a raffia bow. I debated on adding it because it was cute without it, also. But I decided to add it anyway. You could leave it off if you wanted.

Look how absolutely adorable this is! You could write anything on the tag also! Maybe a bouquet for your Valentine and it says I Love You instead. Make it your own is what I always say.
