3 Simple Ingredients :
- 2 cans of shredded cooked chicken (about 2 cups)
- 1-8oz block of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of hot buffalo sauce
1. Add Chicken to a Pan
You can use your own cooked chicken for this recipe, but to make this super quick, I just used canned chicken! Add two cans to a medium sized sauce pan and turn the heat on medium. I used a spatula to break up the larger chunks of chicken.
2. Add Cream Cheese to the Pan
Next, add a whole block of cream cheese to your chicken and continue to break it all down together. To lower the fat in this dish, you can use the 1/3 fat cream cheese called Neufchatel.
Once everything has been broken up and incorporated a bit, you want to add 1/2 cup of the buffalo sauce. You can use any buffalo sauce, but I do like the Frank’s buffalo sauce. The original recipe calls for Ranch dressing, but I think that is too spicy in my opinion, so I created my own simple recipe instead.
3. Add Buffalo Sauce to the Pan
Just pour it right on top of the other two ingredients and mix it in. So super easy!!
4. Simmer for 5-10 minutes
After you mix the three ingredients together, simmer this for about 5-10 minutes just until the cream cheese is melted and incorporated and it is nice and warm.
And that is it! Your Easy Three Ingredient Buffalo Chicken Dip is ready to enjoy!! We like it with tortilla chips or sweet roll bread! Yummy!
