Do you decorate with tiered trays? Maybe you’re looking for patriotic ideas to decorate those trendy trays. Here is a quick and easy Dollar Tree mini pallet flag craft!
Supplies needed for this craft:
- Mini pallets from Dollar Tree or homemade pallets
- Red paint
- Blue paint
- White paint
- Wooden stars
Start off by painting two slats 2/3 of the way across with red paint. You can freehand this or measure. Up to you!
Paint the other two slats with white paint.
Using blue paint, paint the remaining 1/3 of the pallet.
After the paint dried, I used a sanding block to distress my flag a little. I love the rustic farmhouse style, so just about everything that I make or paint is distressed! I love that look!
A good idea to cover up the line where your colors meet, is to add some twine. I wrapped it around several times and used hot glue to secure it. It also added an additional rustic touch that I just love! One of my favorite things to craft with is twine!
The last thing I added was tiny wooden stars to the blue section. That is all there is to it! Seriously, aren’t these adorable?! If you want to make these usable for coasters, seal them with a polyurethane sealer.
