Supplies needed for this DIY:
- Plain wired garland
- Light strand
- Various ball ornaments
- Ribbon of choice
- Pine cones
- Various greenery
- Berry picks
1. Fluff your garland
The first thing that you want to do is to fluff your garland. Basically what I do is just work my way along the garland spreading out each piece on either side of your Garland.

2. Add lights to your garland
I did not need a long section of Garland because this was being used to decorate a cabinet in our living room. Dollar Tree had this set of 20 lights which was perfect for a 6 foot section of Garland. I stretched out the light strand and every 6 inches or so, I would insert a piece of the garland through the light strand to secure it to the Garland.

3. Add ribbon to garland
The next thing that I did was add my ribbon. Once again, about every 6 inches, I would pinch the ribbon and wrap a piece of the garland around the ribbon to secure it to the garland making sure to leave enough slack to make a hoop effect as you can see in the picture below.

4. Add ball ornaments to the garland
After I added my ribbon, at every other pinched section of ribbon I glued a Christmas ball, alternating between smooth and glitter.

5. Add additional embellishments to the garland
Once all of the balls were added, I started to add additional embellishments which included flocked pinecones, lambs ear greenery, and red berries. I added the pinecones to the pinched sections that did not have a Christmas ball. Then I added the greenery and berries at various places throughout the Garland until I was satisfied with the way that it looked.

6. Decorate with your new DIY Holiday Garland!
The last thing to do is to place your Garland and fluff it out and plug it in! You could play around with this and add additional greenery and ornaments but I chose to keep it relatively simple.

I love the way that it looks on top of this cabinet! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
