Is it cold where you are? We are supposed to get snow this week, so I pulled out my crockpot and made this Delicious Crockpot Chili Recipe that I am going to share with you! This pairs well with our Cheesy Jalapeño Cornbread! Make sure to check out our other All in One Recipes while you’re here!

The first thing I did was brown my ground meat. I used a pound each of ground beef and ground chicken. I also diced an onion to sauté along with my meat.

Chili quickly comes together, especially if you use canned foods. What I like to add to my basic chili recipe is : kidney beans, chili beans, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Sometimes I’ll add in some garbanzo beans, too. I didn’t have any today. Pretty much any bean will work in a chili.

The juices from the beans and tomatoes should give you enough liquid for your chili, but if you’d like more, just add more water to your pot. After I add my canned foods, I add my spices : chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder (we love onions), hot pepper flakes, cumin, oregano, parsley, salt, and pepper. My brother in law swears by grape jelly and mustard in his chili as well, but I’ve not ever tried it. Do you have a secret ingredient in your chili? Once you’ve added all your ingredients, simmer your chili for one hour on medium heat. Enjoy!
What else goes well with a winter day?? Cocoa!!

Dinner’s Ready!

The toppings are almost as important as the chili itself. Greek yogurt, shredded cheddar cheese and crackers are what we had for this meal. Cornbread is another good accompaniment to a deliciously warm chili. How do you take your chili?

I’m going to try your recipe. I always add frozen corn. Or canned corn. Love it. Also -one say I had no crackers or anything to eat with the chili. I had some flour tortillas. I broke them up and put it in my bowl. YOU MUST TRY THIS!!! Yum!! Thanks L’Briska for the recipe!! ❤️❤️❤️
That is a great idea! I sometimes add corn to mine as well, especially if I am making White chicken chili. I hope you enjoy my recipe! ❤️❤️❤️
Mmmmm can’t wait to try this tomorrow ! Ty for sharing Girlfriend!!!!
You’re very welcome my friend! ☺️
Do you rinse and drain your beans ? Or just dump them in
I just dump them in, liquid and all. ☺️ I would probably add a couple of cups of water if you drained and rinsed your beans.
Thank you for sharing your recipe. I sometimes add a little nutmeg. Suppose to get snow Wednesday night , so chili sounds great. Either that or loaded potato soup.
Yes, I actually like to add cinnamon to mine sometimes, too! Loaded potato soup sounds yummy!
